Tips to treat anxiety or treat panic attacks

There's a very good book I really want to introduce to all the readers here. That book is entitled "How to stop worrying and start living" by Dale Carnegie. Many people gave good reviews about the book.

Now I know some of you may be saying, "Why would I care for a stupid book that teaches me to stop worrying when I have panic-attacks/anxiety?" Well, if you were to ever thoroughly analyze how your panic-attacks or anxiety comes, it usually starts after worry.
Imagine tomorrow is your first-day of work or school, you tend to think about all the negative consequences that might happen and you worry about them. And worrying is kind of paralyzing because it never stops in your mind. Instead, you just keep on thinking of the worst and you begin to worry even more. That is why anxiety-attacks or panic-attacks prevails. And that book teaches you how to break the worry habit! It also teaches you how to get out of depression, how to keep from worrying about criticisms, etc.

One of the tips the book gave is to keep yourself busy.
I will explain it using my own example:
In one of my previous entry, I said that Distraction is a good technique to actually "forget" about your panic-attacks or anxiety. Why? Because you are busy thinking of something else. And I once said that our mind is a powerful tool - the mind tends to think very in detail or tends to exaggerate the outcomes. The more you think of it, the worser it (panic-attacks/anxiety) gets.

Another tip from the book:

  1. Ask yourself, "What is the worst than can possibly happen?"
  2. Prepare to accept it if you have to.
  3. Then calmly proceed to improve on the worst.

And another tip:
..can reduce your worries by fifty-percent. Here they are:

  1. What is the problem?
  2. What is the CAUSE of the problem?
  3. What are all possible solutions to the problem?
  4. What solution do you suggest?

Please do note that I do not upload or host any of the files. All of them are found by coincidence using google search.

Lastly, I do hope you can show your support for all my materials and research. Please make a donation to me via paypal if you can - any amount will be appreciated. Do not worry if you can't make any monetary support, you can just spread this website to anyone you know whom has panic-attacks or anxiety-attacks - it will be more than I can say.

Thank you readers, I wish you all the best and I really do hope my materials have helped you.

Some depression, anxiety and panic is caused physically and Not psyicologically so thinking good thoughts will not work. My question before being sent here was Chantix is causing people to go into severe panic disorder and has been linked to suicide in some. Now Chantix obviously changed something in the brain physically to bring this on. My question is what are the majority of people doing to alleviate these horrible symtoms. Hopefuly the company producing Chantix will do more research to figure out what it is triggering or effecting in these people and come out with relief. I experienced it myself and quit chantix right away but others I know have changed into strong, intelligent, productive and secure human beings into scared confused traumatized messes. SSRI's, and their relitives do very little since chantix works on dopamine. Only those whith experience with chantix can help. No offense to anyone but please only those with knowledge of the chantix delima will help. Thanks very very much.

Yes, Shreddi.

In my latest post, Belief System and Panic Attacks, I did mention that I MIGHT be researching on psychiatry. If I really do, I can answer this question.
So if you don't agree on being prescribe with medication or fearing its side-effects, it would be advisable to turn to natural alternatives. I agree to what you've wrote because most if not all medications have side-effects.

With Regards,
Seng
